Our site in Hermosillo, Sonora (Mexico) is currently looking for aPROCUREMENT SPECIALISTResponsible for developing and managing a solid and reliable base of first-tier suppliers, ensuring compliance with cost and service expectations. Evaluates capabilities, anticipates risks based on demand, and drives continuous improvement in areas such as capacity, minimum order quantities (MOQs), lead times (LT), and Incoterms. Also responsible for assessing supplier performance.Responsibilities:- Source and select suppliers for materials and services; support the group in identifying new suppliers and products within the competitive market. - Negotiate contractual terms and manage supplier relationships to meet current and future business expectations. - Ensure plant needs are met in terms of price, service level, and quality, aiming for the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). - Assist management in executing the plant’s annual savings plan and lead assigned cost improvement initiatives. - Maintain short- and long-term plans for assigned purchasing categories. - Manage the supplier platform with up-to-date selection, evaluation, and re-evaluation criteria, ensuring the supplier scorecards are current. - Support the group's procurement strategies. - Conduct capacity analysis against forecasted demand. - Prevent supply risks due to demand increases. - Anticipate risks in the supply chain. - Develop and strengthens supplier capabilities. - Act as the first level of escalation for material planning issues. - Master trainer for material planning processes. - Leader in business intelligence for Procurement. - Comply with the internal labor regulations.Requirements:- Fluency in English is a prerequisite - Bachelor’s degree in international business, Industrial Engineer, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in a similar role, focusing on Material planning, sourcing, and logistics - High-level supplier negotiation skills. - SAP master user - Microsoft Office - ISO 37001 / ISO 14001Join US!
