Job Description

A Day in the Life Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Provide oversight for the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with policies and that service performance and quality conform to established standards and guidelines. Offer expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory, and governmental regulations, and internal regulations to ensure compliance. Work directly with operating entities to analyze processes, enforce requirements, and meet regulations. Lead audit and inspection preparations, resolve findings, and liaise with auditors and inspectors throughout all stages. Prepare reports and documentation (e.g., Corrective and Preventive Actions) and share with relevant stakeholders internally and externally. Coordinate legal requests supporting government investigations or litigation. Maintain and regularly update quality assurance programs and policies. Promote uniform standards worldwide and facilitate best practice sharing to support the company's global mission. Act as an advisor on calibration and troubleshooting issues within the site, prepare calibration reports, and support calibration programs internally and externally. The role includes overseeing performance, talent development, engagement, communication, planning, and prioritization. A key aspect is managing personnel through mentoring, coaching, performance reviews, and employee development to meet departmental goals. May perform ongoing operational tasks, receiving assignments in task-oriented terms and delivering results according to established procedures. Typically manages day-to-day budget elements without full budget or P&L accountability. Innovation and Complexity: Implements improvements to processes, systems, or products, and addresses complex problems that may require understanding multiple job areas or specialties. Communication and Influence: Interacts with internal and external customers and vendors at various organizational levels, sharing information to reach solutions and gain cooperation. Leadership and Talent Management: May supervise employees across different support and specialist levels, leading and reviewing team work, and making decisions on hiring, firing, promotions, and performance management. Required Knowledge and Experience Understanding of basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, and process execution. Requires advanced knowledge of the job area through education and experience, typically a Baccalaureate degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience. Nice to Have Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 17025, calibration techniques (temperature, dimensional, etc.), drawing interpretation, and strong supervisory skills.
