We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, driven General Accountant with 4+ years of accounting experience, and preferably restaurant industry familiarity. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and high proficiency in English to communicate both written and occasionally verbally with US-based clients, vendors and colleagues.Pay: 22,000-28,000 pesos/moBenefits: Legal benefits offered - Supplemental Benefits coming soon!Work location: Avenida Álvaro Obregón 171, Roma Norte, 06700 Cuauhtémoc, CDMX, MexicoWork schedule: in office/hybrid 4 days per week*all work and interviews will be conducted in English!Key Responsibilities:Reconcile vendor, bank, and credit card statementsProcess weekly check runs and manage vendor paymentsCalculate, file, and pay monthly and quarterly sales, use, and business taxesAdd and code bank and credit card entries into GL softwareEnter daily sales dataAttend client financial meetingsManage all aspects of the accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, month-end and year-end close procedures, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure accurate and timely reporting.Reconcile third-party sales, deposits, and commissionsReconcile payroll clearing accounts and add payroll journal entries to GL softwareRequired Qualifications:Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 4 years of accounting experience (restaurant accounting experience highly preferred)High English proficiency (both written and verbal)Strongly Preferred Skills:Restaurant experienceProactiveHighly efficientStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational and time-managementDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracyStrong communication skills, both written and verbalExperience with US accounting and account payables software (Quickbooks, Intacct, MarginEdge and )
