As an Interconnect Supplier Quality Engineer, you will set and manage supplier quality and reliability standards for Google’s Interconnect Infrastructure. You will improve the quality of Interconnect deliverables during New Product Introduction (NPI) and throughout their lifecycle, involving tools, processes, and technologies to assess product quality and reliability. Your partner management skills will help drive design or manufacturing process improvements through data analysis. Our Technical Infrastructure team supports Google's online services by developing and maintaining data centers and platforms, ensuring fast, reliable user experiences. We pride ourselves on engineering excellence and innovative problem-solving. Responsibilities Manage supplier quality and reliability of Interconnect deliverables throughout their lifecycle. Drive cross-functional activities to ensure operational readiness during NPI phases leading into production. Advise design, manufacturing, and commodity teams on qualification and application of interconnect technologies. Assess supplier capabilities from a quality perspective during new supplier selection. Conduct quality and manufacturing process audits at current and potential suppliers. Collaborate across teams to define processes that provide data for managing quality and reliability. Communicate with suppliers regularly to share feedback, and manage Return Material Authorization (RMA), Corrective Action Requests (CAR), Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), and Failure Analysis (FA).
