Job Description

Summary The Facility Manager is responsible for leading daily operations within the distribution center, ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and movement of goods through the logistics network. This role focuses on optimizing workflow, maintaining high standards of service, and fostering a collaborative and safe work environment.• Leads and manages facility personnel, participating in hiring, onboarding, and development activities to build a high-performing team • Promotes a positive and professional workplace culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and meeting operational targets • Ensures all employees receive proper training and development to successfully carry out their roles, meeting company quality and productivity standards • Conducts regular team meetings to share updates, reinforce objectives, and encourage engagement • Oversees inbound processing, receiving, inventory management, put-away, and cycle counting procedures • Supervises picking, packing, and preparation of outbound shipments, ensuring deadlines and service expectations are met • Organizes and prioritizes workflow based on transportation schedules and customer requirements • Collaborates with production and supply chain teams to maintain a smooth, consistent flow of goods through the facility • Ensures compliance with operational protocols for shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy, and merchandise handling • Prepares operational reports accurately and on time, providing insights to improve performance and efficiency • Builds and maintains strong relationships with transportation partners, seeking opportunities for optimization and carrier development • Champions workplace safety initiatives, conducts safety training, and drives a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices • Engages directly with customers when needed to address service concerns and support issue resolution (may involve occasional travel) • Identifies process improvement opportunities and implements best practices to enhance operational performance and customer satisfactionQualifications To perform this role successfully, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill the essential responsibilities outlined.
