Troubleshooting and addressing real-time trading alerts while managing research-driven workflows.Enhancing the reliability and efficiency of pipeline components in a high-paced environment.Solving business and technical data structure, quality, and availability issues.Collaborating with external vendors on behalf of internal clients.Requirements: Technical Skills:Experience with platforms and tools: Bash, Git, and RegexProficiency in at least one major programming language: Python, Perl, or C++.Familiarity with SQL and PromQL for data queryingAdditional Skills:Prior experience in financial services or data science is beneficial but not mandatory.Must be adaptable to fast-changing environments.Willingness to cover shifts until 21:00 Mexico time and participate in light weekend coverage (on a rotational basis).The expected long-term requirement is 2 weeks each month to cover this shift, with the other 2 weeks being more flexible in scheduling.Weekend shift: similar rotation for Sunday night before the Asia market opens, covering 16:00 -> 20:00 ET, but only one engineer is needed for this shift per week.
