Job Description The Role: We are seeking an Operations Shift Supervisor to be based in the company's Houston office. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for working with other Supervisors, Managers, and Directors within the Operations & Maintenance departments to manage and optimize the LNG Liquefaction facility. Responsibilities Drive a proactive approach to safe plant operations, keeping alert for unsafe practices and conditions and ensuring corrective actions are taken. Ensure facility operates within all permit requirements. Ensure that systems are in place and operable for effective emergency response and be responsible for first-line incident control. Ensure all safety and environmental documentation is completed. Assist with pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and initial operation of the LNG Facility. This includes being a vital member of the integrated commissioning/start-up team(s) with the EPC contractor. Ensure economic and operational efficiency of the plant, understand the plant business strategy and budget, and manage resources (staff and materials) within operational requirements and budgetary constraints. Oversee execution of production plans, communicate goals and deviations, coordinate with other departments, and facilitate shift change and logs. Maintain production targets and optimize plant throughput. Ensure product quality specifications are met and develop methods to increase operating efficiency. Operate within the plant's operating envelope, ensure proper transfer of ownership of equipment, and prioritize maintenance requirements. Provide technical support during the shift and communicate reliability issues. Supervise all shift operators, develop performance improvement plans, and conduct training and reviews. Participate in daily strategy planning and emergency management outside of normal hours. Participate in reviews during engineering and design phases, such as HAZOPs, 3D models, P&ID, and siting reviews. Lead development of operating procedures, manuals, and training programs. Qualifications 10-15 years’ experience in commissioning, startup, and operations in Oil & Gas or petrochemical facilities, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong leadership and administrative skills. High sensitivity to safety in hazardous environments. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work effectively across different disciplines and cultures. Organized with strong planning skills and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Valid TWIC card required.
