Will lead a team of Advanced Quality Engineers from quote thought the start of production (SOP) implementing advanced quality strategies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement throughout the entire product lifecycleQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.5 years of relevant professional experienceSeveral years of experience in quality department, leadership experience in the automotive environment. Extensive experience in automotive quality, with a focus on advanced quality planning.Strong knowledge of quality management systems, industry standards, and automotive regulations.Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.Relevant certifications such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer, or Quality Coordinator are a plus.Good command of the English languageESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Key ResponsibilitiesLead the Advanced Quality Engineering team to develop and implement advanced quality planning methodologies to proactively identify and address potential quality issues in the product development phase.Collaborate with Program Management, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Supply Chain teams to integrate quality considerations into the design and production processes.Track and ensure the timely completion of all quality planning requirements in the product development phases.Manage Advanced Quality Engineering resources through planning, optimizing, and ensuring that the right, capable resources are available for projects.Implement tools and methodologies to identify, analyze, and prioritize risks throughout the product development and manufacturing processes.Ensure the CSR and product features needed in the product design this like part of input for process and TMIE (Test for Measurement & Inspection Equipment) design development.Support the release of DV, and PV, and start of production (SOP) feasibility studies.Develop, implement, coordinate, and continuously improve safe launch quality planning in cooperation with OperationsEnsure Quality targets are established, known, and addressed by process owners.Support problem-solving processes within the APQP phases ensuring proper and timely customer communication.Create and track budget plans for the Advanced Quality department. Ensure and/or support customer issue management.Convey certification standards to Regional Process Owners.Ensure Quality representation in the Gentherm change management.Lead Quality input for quoting (resources, budgets, assets, etc.) utilizing the Statement of Requirements (SOR), Statement of Work (SOW), Request for Quote (RFQ) and Customer-specific Requirements (CSR).Work with the Management System (MS)/Audit team to ensure all APQP-related processes meet Quality standards (IATF 16949) and CSR. This included the updates or new requirements involved on AIAG / VDA manuals (e.g. Core Tools, CQIs, Product Audits, etc.). Ensure Advanced / Process Quality participation in the PFMEA development for early phases.Support the definition and classification of product and process significant/critical characteristics (SC/CC) for prototype, pre-production, and production + 90 days.Ensure the Safe Launch process for SOP + 90 days in situ and deployment of KPIs for the core team involved.Lead the implementation of Control Plans of each development phase such as: Prototype , Pre Launch, Safe Launch and Production (NOTE: Gentherm utilizes and needs to improve Plato E1NS software usage)Support PFMEA AIAG/VDA for the implementation and development of this methodology Utilize data analytics and statistical methods (e.g., Cp, Cpk Pp, Ppk) to analyze quality trends, identify root causes of issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.Ensure measurement system analysis (MSA) studies needed for the evaluation and measurement techniques indicated in the control plan for customer approval. Manage the execution of variable/attribute GR&R studies for destructive and no-destructive test (e.g. checking fixtures, tensile machines, visual inspections, etc.)Support to plant laboratories to develop the resources requirements to maintain the new measurement systems implemented to each plant for the product / process release.Support on lay out process development to stablish the areas for Boundary samples, Gages, Testing machines or another measurement/evaluation system needed to release the product / process.Align with ASPICE-related activities to ensure on-time quality maturation.Drive a culture of continuous improvement, implementing best practices, and fostering a mindset of quality excellence across the organizationEqual Opportunity Statement - Gentherm is committed to compliance with its obligations under all applicable state and federal laws prohibiting employment discrimination.
