Network Operations Engineer – Polanco, Mexico City We are looking for a Network Operations Engineer to join our Operations and Development Team in Polanco, Mexico City . In this role, you will be responsible for network monitoring, incident management, and automation of operational tasks , ensuring the stability and efficiency of our infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Monitor network and server performance using existing tools, promptly identifying and resolving potential issues. Analyze and document errors to support continuous system optimization. Lead a small internal team, ensuring effective task allocation and progress tracking. Develop automated scripts (Shell/Python) to streamline operational workflows. Perform Linux system administration , including configuration and troubleshooting. Conduct basic SQL queries and database maintenance as needed. Required Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in network operations and maintenance. Proficiency in Shell and Python scripting for automation. Strong knowledge of Linux systems (configuration, troubleshooting). Basic SQL skills for queries and database maintenance. Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, or similar) is a plus. Understanding of TCP/IP networks, VPNs, firewalls, and routing protocols . Soft Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work under pressure and solve problems proactively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in incident management . Education & Work Conditions: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field (preferred). Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with operational flexibility).
