Job Description

Position: Sr. Project Manager - NPD & OperationsLocation: Monterrey, MexicoPosition Overview: The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of projects. The supported projects can be New Product Development or Operational in nature. The Sr. PM is in charge of continuously evaluating the business case vs project situation; engaging with the project team and ensuring the day to day progress; leading and owning the project plan and execution; preparing and managing the Stakeholder meetings; monitoring and controlling project budgets, schedule & resource allocation; driving action plans and coordinating teams to maintain the project expected performance (Time, Cost, Quality & Scope).Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Ensure that projects are well connected with the company strategy and prioritized accordingly.- Ensure the right cross-functional resources & competencies are available to the project.- Guide the cross-functional Managers to achieve the project objectives. Coach them.- For NPD projects, ensure alignment across voice of customer, market requirements, specifications, and test plans.- Develop project scopes, work breakdown structures, resource plans, schedules, and budgets.- Manage project data across business systems to ensure accurate and timely reporting.- Monitor & Control project's progress (stage-gate dates, risks, project costs, product costs, sales forecasted volumes, profitability, etc.).- Drive Scope Management, Risk Mitigation and Escalation.- Effectively present and communicate across all levels, from the shop floor to the CEO.- Organize and manage the Project Steering Committees / Stage Gate Reviews.- Hold the team, peers, and stakeholders accountable to deliver on commitments.- Lead continuous improvement via process development, best practice sharing, and learnings from post-Sell reviews.Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software Engineering, or related engineering field.- 7+ years of experience in Project Management, delivering large/complex projects (Operations, Transformational, New Products) and requiring frequent stakeholder/Sr. Management updates.- 3+ years of experience in new product development preferred.- Bilingual (Spanish/English).- Great communication & interpersonal skills.- 15%+ domestic and international travel.- Project Management Certification (PMP and CSM), preferred.- Higher education in Business/Marketing (MBA), preferred.About Columbus McKinnon:Columbus McKinnon is a leading worldwide designer, manufacturer and marketer of intelligent motion solutions that move the world forward and improve lives by efficiently and ergonomically moving, lifting, positioning and securing materials.
