Job Title

The Design Release Engineer is responsible for the engineering, design, development, validation, timing, and production release of the Seat system.The Engineer will have end to end ownership of their components and ensuring they meet vehicle functional objectives. Responsibilities also include component design, development, and packaging; Design Verification Plan & Report (DVPR) testing; change management; bill of material maintenance; prototype and production build support; issues management; CAD model management in Teamcenter; weight reduction, cost reduction and other efficiency improvement initiatives; and communicating technical product status to management.Additionally, supporting vehicle assembly plants for any product technical issues, support service teams for any field warranty issues and help in root cause analysis of the failures"*** Basic Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program4+ yrs of relevant engineering experienceIntermediate to advanced level of design/development engineering experience in multiple of the following:==> seat structures/mechanisms interior system integrationExperience with OEM or supplier design and releaseExperience with NX, Catia V5, and TeamcenterExperience with DFMEA, DVP&R creation and executionExperience with compontent builds and executionExperience with production process feasibility and developement including mold flow analysis or other interior compontent manufacturing processesExperience leading technical teams successfully across varied levels of management and between OEM and supply baseExperience regularly presenting to upper managment for issue resolution decisions
