As a supplier and development partner, we manufacture for renowned automobile producers such as AUDI, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Subaru, and Volvo.Tooling Engineer Responsibility’s Oversee tool design and manufacturing processes, ensuring tools meet project specifications. Actively participate in trials and samplings to validate tool performance and ensure compliance with required standards. Maintain strong relationships with external tool shops for effective collaboration. Troubleshoot and refine tool performance during trials and samplings to resolve any issues. Assess new tools to ensure compatibility with existing injection molding machines and layouts, preventing production disruptions. Provide support toQuality Engineersand theCSC departmentthroughout the industrialization process, as well as during customer meetings and visits. Develop operational methods and standards that enhance quality and minimize production issues. Coordinate closely with theplanning departmentto ensure tool trials and samplings align with overall project timelines. Keep all stakeholders informed on progress, challenges, and modifications to ensure smooth execution. Support series production by resolving mold-related issues, troubleshooting, and implementingContinuous Improvement Processes (CIP) . Maintain proper documentation and management of tool data for informed decision-making and performance tracking.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field ( preferred ). Certification in Tool Design or Mold Making ( preferred ). At least5 years of experienceinTool Engineering and Mold Design . Minimum5 years of experiencein theplastic injection molding industry. Minimum5 years of experiencein theautomotive industry. Proficiency inCAD software(preferably CATIA V5) for tool design and modification. Hands-on experience with injection molding processes and troubleshooting mold-related issues. Experience in managing tool modifications and collaborating with external tool shops. Intermediate proficiency inMicrosoft 365 . Strong understanding of injection molding processes, including machine capabilities, tool layouts, and sampling procedures. Knowledge ofGeometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)and other design specifications. Familiarity withFailure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Design of Experiments (DOE),and other quality control methodologies. Experience withERP systemsand other manufacturing software tools.
