The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Procurement Specialist for the Outsource Manufacturing and Hard Goods – Metals and Electronics Team, you will be responsible for supporting 3M business divisions, serving as a Strategic Sourcing specialist for Electronics category. This position will drive sourcing policies and best practices, helping the sourcing organization and 3M meet its cost savings, growth, and working capital goals by leading negotiations, supporting effective NPI launches, and managing complex supplier relationships. You will have the opportunity to collaborate globally, making an impact through: Managing total supplier performance against key targets and compliance, and implementing improvement roadmaps Acting as the primary contact for sourcing and NPI issues for assigned categories within Business Units Understanding long-term requirements and aligning supply base offerings accordingly Leading roadmap reviews between engineering and suppliers, finding solutions, and balancing supply continuity, cost, and delivery Leading QBRs and EBRs with suppliers, and effectively communicating with executive teams Leading project teams for new product introductions and sourcing solutions Building close relationships with business unit management and suppliers on sourcing strategies Negotiating complex contracts and developing Total Cost of Ownership analyses Communicating project status and influencing management decisions Researching market outlooks for cost drivers Your Skills and Expertise To succeed, you should have: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution At least 7 years of cross-functional supply chain sourcing and procurement experience Additional preferred qualifications include: Deep experience in direct material strategic sourcing, especially for electronics (PCBA, Modules, SMT, EMS, Sensors, Semiconductors) Engineering degree preferred Global sourcing experience, including developing suppliers and managing contracts Experience with supply agreements, RFPs, and should-cost models Global commodity strategy development and execution Willingness to travel up to 50% Strong negotiation skills and experience with MRP/ERP systems Knowledge of LATAM EMS industry; Spanish is a plus Work Location: Hybrid Travel: Up to 25% domestic/international Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers programs to support your physical and financial well-being.
