Senior Construction Manager About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to oversee land-based projects, managing all aspects of construction from pre-design to closeout. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction project management, with experience leading teams and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously. Main Responsibilities: Negotiate contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and purchase orders Drive decision-making and implementation for construction project management software Hold external vendors/contractors responsible for delays and cost overruns Lead Royal Caribbean International's involvement in local communities Create and maintain architect, contractor, subcontractor, and vendor relations Direct and manage activities associated with pre-design, design, construction, pre-construction, and closeout Be ultimately responsible for complete project delivery, on time, at quality standards, and on budget Analyze risk and define schedule-related issues, including long lead materials or equipment impacts Manage Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program Audit risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee, and pricing decisions Manage change management processes, including updating logs, routing source documents to vendors, obtaining pricing, developing estimates, and proposals Attend weekly progress meetings and track progress and risks Responsible for construction document management, including submittal review, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or similar field 8+ years of experience leading construction projects as a commercial Project Manager Experience with commercial projects (retail, restaurant, hospitality) Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 50% of the time Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, ability to self-direct, and strong background in mission-critical projects Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel), Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar project management software Benefits: The company offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, excellent career development opportunities, and a chance to work on exciting projects.
