The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating a variety of technical and operational documents from Spanish to English with accuracy, consistency, and cultural sensitivity, while maintaining domain-specific terminology. Key Responsibilities: • Translate technical, operational, and administrative documents from Spanish to English, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and contextual relevance. • Work with engineers, field experts, and documentation teams to ensure correct usage of railroad industry terminology. • Review and edit translated content for grammar, style, and tone. • Maintain a glossary of domain-specific terms and update it as needed. • Assist in translating training materials, safety manuals, infrastructure project documents, and reports. • Participate in review sessions and provide linguistic support during bilingual meetings or communications. Required Qualifications: • Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken). • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 0–2 years of professional translation experience, preferably in technical or industrial sectors. • Basic knowledge or exposure to the railroad/railway domain, including terminology, operations, or safety standards. • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
