Job Description

Job Title: Senior Manager – Finance Business Partner Our client is currently seeking an experienced business leader with at least 7 years of experience in global finance, strategy, and/or management consulting. This individual will have a proven track record of leading international cross-functional teams, driving change, and effectively challenging and communicating with senior leadership within a complex matrix organisation. Experience with financial systems such as PeopleSoft and Essbase is required. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in business, finance, or a related field is essential. A Master's degree or equivalent work experience in business, finance, or a related field is preferred. Individual Accountabilities: Assist in the development of business strategy and constructively challenge priorities Create business cases for a range of investments, including complex multi-year spend, to support strategic resource allocation Evaluate long-term cost and revenue optimisation opportunities and proactively influence leadership to consider and implement them Perform tactical interventions with the business to close gaps versus plan and achieve project delivery – including challenging senior leadership when required Enhance commercial acumen by proactively engaging with business counterparts to understand key business drivers and industry/competitive challenges Support the three-year strategic planning process, formal budget review process, and quarterly forecast review process across the broader organization, and lead these processes for specific business units Review monthly and quarterly financial performance reports and commentary for high-value business areas, ensuring transparency of risks and opportunities Assist senior management decision-making by assessing risks and opportunities to improve key financial and performance metrics Identify improvement opportunities by benchmarking performance within and across regions Play a proactive role in identifying opportunities to make the broader finance team more efficient and effective, and support the implementation of new technology and ideas where applicable Key Competencies: Ability to sustain high-impact, trusted relationships Ability to identify connections between financial levers and surface unintended consequences Ability to facilitate innovative approaches using external insights Ability to challenge the status quo and demonstrate the courage to do the right thing Ability to make connections across the business Strong technical skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint) Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills Ability to secure appropriate advice and guidance from specialist areas of finance Key Metrics: Achieve financial operating performance targets (e.g., business unit full-year OP target) Achieve budget and forecast accuracy targets Manage within agreed capital deployment targets
