Position Summary The Instructional Designer isresponsible for the full life cycle build of Global Teammate andLeadership Development, learning materials. The InstructionalDesigner will partner closely with the Technology and InnovationLead and Global Leadership Development leader to determinerequirements and build learning content for all levels of teammatesand leaders across the globe (Virtual Instructor Led, In-PersonInstructor Led, eLearning, Job Aids, Quick Reference Guides,Facilitator Guides, Participant Guides, Videos, etc.). The idealcandidate will have a successful track record of developing adultlearning programs and have a strong background in adult learningtheory and instructional design principles/tools. CoreResponsibilities Learner Experience - Acts as the voice of thelearners, ensuring that their needs are at the forefront of ourefforts and helping the GLD team iterate and improve our learningtechnologies and design efforts - Designs, develops, and works tointegrate training interventions that are optimized foraccessibility and diversity, equity, and inclusion, utilizing avariety of learning modalities: on-demand, instructor-led, orhybrid learning across the company - Effectively utilizesinstructional design methodologies, design standards, and toolstied to adult learning theory to create an overall learnerexperience Content & Design Management - Understands andimplements instructional design standards and creates a consistentglobal learning brand standard guide that will be used with allglobal learning initiatives, learning programs, etc. across thecompany - Proficient with using and guiding others in learningdesign and authoring tools such as Articulate, Rise/Storyline,Captivate, Camtasia, Vyond, Canva, etc. to create developmentcontent for learners - Conduct needs assessments and evaluations toidentify learning opportunities. - Design and developinstructionally sound, engaging, and esthetically pleasing trainingprograms and materials. - For instructor-led programs you havedesigned, observe the training staff to ascertain that thematerials flow logically, are accurate and the quality meets and/orexceeds the needs and expectations of the trainers/trainees. -Incorporate both ADDIE and Agile instructional design methods.Capabilities & Experience Needed - A bachelor's degree,preferably in Instructional Technology, Education or Communication;or equivalent experience. - A minimum of three years ofinstructional design or related experience. - Significantexperience with online instructional strategies and methodologies.- The drive and motivation to take full ownership of a project fromdevelopment to implementation. - The skill to extract the mostsalient points during research and convert them into a high-qualitytraining program and/or other training material. - The ability toincorporate graphic design elements and create estheticallypleasing materials. - Experience using Articulate, Storyline,Captivate, or any other authoring tools. - Exceptional written andverbal communication skills. - Excellent organizational andplanning skills with strong attention to detail. - The ability toestablish priorities and work effectively in a fast-pacedenvironment. - Strong interpersonal skills, customer focus and ateam player approach. - Advanced skills with Microsoft OfficeSuite. - Graphic design or marketing/advertising background a plus.- Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or other graphicdesign software a plus. - Experience with video and/or audioediting software a plus. - Experience in a larger Global Learningand Development department a plus. Language Skills - English(reading, writing, verbal) Additional Information - This positionwill sit at our Monterrey, Nuevo Leon Office - Will need to workday shift to ensure coverage with U.S. time zones, some flexibilityon start and end times will be needed to ensure projectcompletion.
