Job Description

This role is a critical component of our Operations and Supply Chain group, focusing on sourcing strategies. A successful incumbent will develop and maintain relationships with preferred suppliers while ensuring company compliance to policies. Key responsibilities include developing, executing, and maintaining sourcing strategies; supporting decision-making and alignment on New Product Development projects or sourcing issues; managing New Product Development and productivity projects roadmaps for assigned categories; identifying cost-reduction opportunities; assessing supplier requirements and capacities to make recommendations; creating and updating provisions of supplier contractual agreements; executing mitigation plans based on industry trends and reports; working with Supplier Quality Engineering to ensure quality improvement plans are undertaken; monitoring supplier scorecards by measuring key performance indicators and resolving issues. Responsibilities Develop, execute, and maintain sourcing strategies that align with business objectives. Support decision-making on New Product Development projects or sourcing issues by providing options, risk scenarios, and recommendations. Manage New Product Development and productivity projects roadmaps for assigned categories. Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising product quality or delivery times. Assess supplier requirements and capacities to inform strategic decisions. Create and update supplier contractual agreements in accordance with business initiatives. Implement mitigation plans based on industry trends, reports, and data analysis. Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineering to improve supplier quality and meet business standards. Monitor supplier performance using key performance indicators and address any issues promptly. Requirements A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required. Minimum 3+ years of relevant work experience in sourcing or supply chain management. Familiarity with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is an asset.
