Purpose of the Position:The ideal candidate will have the ability to:Ensure the best price on a global supply market for all products commodity under their responsibilityDevelop a comprehensive Commodity Purchasing (3- 5 years view) based on global/regional business strategyDevelop and execute cost reduction Regional and Global projects Global Localization strategy to achieve the savings goalThe “Commodity Buyer” reports to the Regional Commodity Manager and supports production plants on supplier critical commercial items were Purchasing leverage is needed.Main Responsibilities:• To execute annual price negotiations with all relevant suppliers in order to (over-) achieve the budget saving• To ensure the best piece price negotiation• Works very closely with plants, supplier, sales to guarantee the supply chain service•Execute and well domain in App Systems like SAP, QAD or PRMS to identify Forecast, demands, Quantities and to create discrete Orders or Open Orders (contracts)• Develop a comprehensive Regional & Global Commodity Purchasing Strategy (3-5 years view) based on global/regional business strategy and PBU strategy• Works closely with Supplier Quality to monitor and correct all supplier PPM problems• Initiate and/or support VAVE for cost reductions initiatives• Responsible for supplier management starting from new supplier introduction to supplier phase out, compiling supply market intelligence, identifying purchasing risks, opportunities and ensuring data transparencyWork Experience:2-3 years of experience in Purchasing within metal mechanics, springs, bolts, tubing forging, die-cast, stampingAutomotive Industry experience is desirable.Preferred Skills:Bachelor’s degreeFluent in English language skills written and spoken.Strong negotiating skills
