Job Description

About the Role Seeking an experienced and motivated professional to lead our accounting team. This role oversees financial reporting, manages accounting operations, and supports team development. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support. Oversee bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies. Supervise balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy. Review and analyse Accounts Receivable reserves and bad debt, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective actions. Ensure proper management of prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and depreciation & amortisation schedules. Oversee the preparation of real estate (RE) tax schedules and insurance schedules for compliance and reporting. Approve accrual and reclass entries, ensuring proper expense recognition. Conduct variance analysis, identifying financial trends and risks. Monitor and review management fees, ensuring compliance with agreements. Review and finalise the monthly reporting package, providing financial insights for strategic decision-making. Drive process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred. Excellent English Proficiency Level 3+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Nexus or Oracle. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modelling). Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing accounting teams. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial insights to senior leadership.
