Automation Controls Engineer Job We are seeking an experienced Automation Controls Engineer to lead and execute automation controls projects across the country for warehouse automation and material handling systems. This position demands both hands-on technical expertise and leadership in controls system development and implementation. You will take ownership of full project lifecycles—from concept through commissioning—and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead and execute multiple electrical and PLC control projects with minimal supervision. Manage planning, scope, budgeting, and scheduling for assigned projects. Design, modify, implement, and support software applications, operating systems, and PLC controls. Perform electrical design and programming using Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, and related platforms. Oversee software and hardware testing phases including FAT, UAT, and customer acceptance testing. Interface with internal/external customers and maintain expectations throughout project lifecycle. Prepare and submit detailed documentation and progress reports. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 7+ years of experience in controls engineering, preferably in warehouse automation or material handling systems. Proven experience as a Project Lead, Project Manager, or Team Lead. Demonstrated ability to lead multiple simultaneous projects. Benefits: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
