Job Description

Our logistics team is seeking an entry-level intern to support the creation of production forecasts and assist with supplier purchasing plans. We are looking for someone who can analyze customer requirements and production demand, ensuring our suppliers have the necessary materials on hand. The ideal candidate will be able to participate in material delivery, including imports and exports, and ensure customs declarations are accurate. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including cycle counting and inventory management. Main responsibilities: Analyze production capacity based on customer requirements. Collect and analyze data related to logistics operations, creating reports and contributing to performance analysis. Support customers with delivery arrangements, ensuring timely delivery and controlling transportation costs. Maintain inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods within reasonable ranges, reducing WIP inventory and achieving lean production. Arrange delivery, receiving, and issuing work in a timely manner to meet production schedules. Improve warehouse area utilization, inventory turnover, and material distribution efficiency by analyzing and improving existing processes. Assist with tax and customs integration, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations. Regularly review experience summaries, optimize processes, and continually learn new ideas, knowledge, and tools to improve professional skills. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in foreign trade or international trade. No prior work experience required, but at least 6 months of internship experience preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Basic knowledge of SAP, ERP, MRP, and MES systems. Familiarity with Mexican and U.S. customs regimes, free trade agreements, and official standards. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to quickly learn new software.
