Tax Compliance Manager – U.S. Operations About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Compliance Manager to lead U.S. income tax compliance and reporting activities for our U.S. operations. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting, compliance with U.S. federal and state regulations, and effective coordination with our corporate finance and external audit teams. This is a manager-level role based in Mexico, supporting a key manufacturing operation with substantial U.S. revenue. The Federal Tax Manager will also work with other members of the Tax Department and external advisors to ensure compliance on all Federal and income tax filings, including coordination with the SALT Manager relative to State and Local filings, and coordination with the International Manager on completion of the informational filings included in the Consolidated Federal return. Key Responsibilities Lead preparation and review of U.S. federal and state income tax returns, including consolidated filings Manage quarterly and annual tax provision processes (ASC 740), including current and deferred tax calculations Ensure timely and accurate reporting of tax disclosures for financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP Maintain and reconcile tax accounts, ensuring SOX compliance and internal control documentation Research and prepare documentation for income tax accrual computations, interim and year-end financial audit inquiries, and departmental policies and procedures Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax planning initiatives Support transfer pricing compliance and documentation for intercompany transactions Leverage SAP and other systems to gather and analyze data related to tax reporting Monitor changes in U.S. tax law and regulations, and assess their impact on company operations Supervise and develop tax team members or work cross-functionally with finance and legal teams Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's or CPA preferred) 6–8 years of experience in U.S. corporate tax compliance and reporting Expertise in ASC 740, deferred tax accounting, and financial reporting for tax Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO) and Microsoft Excel; knowledge of tax provision software (e.g., OneSource, CorpTax) is a plus Strong understanding of U.S. federal and multi-state tax regulations Experience with SOX controls, audit coordination, and tax account reconciliations 3 years management experience Excellent English communication skills and the ability to work with cross-border teams Location: Monterrey Mexico (on-site / hybrid) Industry: Manufacturing Scope: U.S. Operations
