Job Title: Regulatory Compliance Specialist Job Description: As a key member of our organization, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet all relevant regulatory requirements in the Americas, with a primary focus on the US, Canada, and Brazil. This role involves managing substance notifications, regulatory reporting, and assessing the impact of new regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance Develop and implement effective regulatory compliance strategies to ensure product compliance across the Americas. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information on product formulations and ensure that all necessary regulatory submissions are made in a timely manner. Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and provide guidance to the team on any necessary actions. Reporting and Record-Keeping Manage and maintain accurate records of regulatory submissions, including substance notifications and permit applications. Provide regular reports to management on compliance status and any areas for improvement. Training and Development Develop and deliver training sessions to promote regulatory compliance awareness across the organization. Work closely with HR to develop and implement a comprehensive training program for all employees. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Polymer Chemistry (or related field) preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical regulatory compliance, preferably in a global manufacturing or chemical environment. Proven track record of working with chemical control laws and regulations in the US, Canada, and Brazil. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as TSCA, DSL, and other international chemical inventories. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with proficiency in Portuguese and Spanish desirable. Qualifications: Degrees in Biological or Environmental Sciences or related fields will be considered with relevant experience. Advanced degrees in a relevant specialization are a plus.
