Job Title: Sales Director About the Job: We are seeking a seasoned Sales Director to lead our sales efforts and drive revenue growth. To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans, managing a team of sales professionals, and building relationships with key stakeholders. Your primary goal will be to maximize revenue and profits by identifying new business opportunities and driving sales growth through effective sales strategies and tactics. You will also be responsible for preparing and implementing data for the strategic sales plan, monthly SMART goals, annual goals, sales, forecasts and other reports as directed/required. Additionally, you will participate in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetings. You will conduct and attend business review meetings, strategic sales meetings, management meetings and other meetings as required/requested. You will represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events. You will participate as a team player with other key executive members. You will be a leader and role model to all team members. You will administer and ensure timely completion of all activities of the Sales Department. You will develop a complete knowledge of company sales policies and SOP's, and ensure knowledge of and adherence to those policies by the sales team. You will develop and maintain market awareness to ensure ability to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies. You will meet or exceed established goals. You will coordinate transient bookings to maximize profits. You will initiate and follow up on leads. You will monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within said market. You will coordinate all non-group transient sales solicitations to maximize market mix. You will assist in the preparation of required reports in a timely manner. You will participate weekly sales meetings and daily line ups. You will devise or modify procedures to solve process problems that will result in more efficient processes. You will perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service. Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy and Planning Team Management Budgeting and Forecasting Customer Relationships Event Participation Communication and Reporting Process Improvement Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree preferred Minimum five (5) years of sales leadership experience in similar sized operation required, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel Must have comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage, catering sales, conference service and marketing management experience, guest relations and etiquette Basic understanding of legal contract language Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the company's values
