Position Title: Fixed Assets Analyst Department: Finance Location: El Salto, Jalisco Reports To: Plant Controller Primary Purpose of the Position: The Fixed Assets Analyst is responsible for overseeing all accounting activities related to fixed assets and capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects. This includes asset capitalization, cost tracking, budget control, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with Goodyear policies, local GAAP, U.S. GAAP, and SOX requirements. This role plays a key part in maintaining accuracy in capital reporting, supporting cash flow management, and enabling efficient asset lifecycle management. Key Responsibilities: Ensure proper accounting and documentation of CAPEX projects in accordance with Goodyear's global accounting policies and applicable local GAAP. Monitor and report on capital and operating expenditures, ensuring accurate segregation between capitalized and expensed costs. Maintain up-to-date cost and commitment reports to track project scope and financial performance. Coordinate project close-out activities, including asset capitalization and release to production. Support monthly reporting by reviewing project performance and CAPEX spending. Conduct physical verification of newly acquired fixed assets. Inspect ongoing projects to confirm their operational status and appropriate accounting treatment. Ensure full compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and SOX regulations. Education: Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Preferred: CPA certification and/or a master's degree (MBA or equivalent). Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, project accounting, or auditing (preferably in a multinational manufacturing company or a public accounting firm). Experience working with cross-functional teams and consolidating financial data from multiple sources. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data and identify improvement opportunities. Knowledge of Mexican GAAP and U.S. GAAP. Professional proficiency in English (spoken, written, and comprehension — at least 80%). Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in team environments.
