At Zurich Capability Center, we are looking for a: AS400 DEVELOPERJob Description Acts in the highest-level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives.Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors.Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing.Leads most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts.Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation processAnalyze business requirements then design, create and maintain applications using RPG IV on IBM AS400 platformPrepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written, coded, tested, debugged and documentedUtilize technology to solve problems and provide software solutions with varying degrees of complexityWork directly with department users to innovate and improve operations & processesDrive to completion all phases of application development Basic Qualifications Advanced English Level4 years of professional experience with application development - using RPG IV, ILE RPG and CL on AS/4004+ years of extensive SQL knowledge, including writing scripts and stored proceduresMicrosoft SQL Server development /SSRSMicrosoft Visual StudioMicrosoft .NET toolsIndependently motivated, detail-oriented, and able to maintain focus on long-term projects.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences of various levels within the companyProven problem-solving and time management skillsResults-oriented; demonstrated sense of urgency and commitment to achieve efficient and accurate results.Committed to the highest levels of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality Who we areLooking for a challenging and inspiring work environment where you can make a difference?
