Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInclude the following: Assumes overall responsibility for safety performance, productivity performance, delivery performance, financial profit and loss, and production qualityEnsures the safe operation of the facility and the safety of Dover employeesCoordinates resources to satisfy both internal and external customers; to deliver superior products and quality service in a fast-paced environment that meets or exceeds the customers expectationsOversees Production, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Customer Service and Manufacturing Engineering; all relating to the operation of the facilityDirects all operations departments including machining, assembly, logistics, quality, process improvement, and materials; directs operating personnel in optimization of plant facilities and assigns maintenance prioritiesSupports the implementation and training of continuous improvement principles within the shop environment. Implements best practices and improvements that have been identified by Dovers employees and managementChampions process improvement and lean manufacturing activities; oversees the implementation of best practices across manufacturing operations.Supports managers and supervisors in the accomplishment of daily/weekly activities.Promotes the utilization of statistical and process visual measurements to manage the operation and deliver customer satisfaction and world class qualityComplies with all Federal, State, and Local labor laws, environmental regulations, OSHA compliance and City ordinancesWorks with the VP of Operations to make operational adjustments as necessary by reviewing the P&L Statements, Sales Reports, and daily reports to insure continued growth in productivity/ efficiencyAssists the VP of Operations in developing & executing an accurate manning, operating expense, and capital expenditure budgets Develops capital equipment requirements and justificationsDirects, coaches, and develops managers; sets goals in training and development, performance, and career planning by leveraging strong problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities Works effectively in a matrix organizational structureChampions performance management and training initiatives Maintains productive relationships with external customers including; marketing/commercial group, contractors, engineering, vendors, government agencies, and regulatory agencies.Ensure complete compliance with Lean initiatives using our Dover Operational Excellence Model (OPEX). Other duties may be assigned such as: Six or more years of relevant experience requiredExperience in the oil and gas industry preferredExperience with ISO or TS quality standardsPrior ownership of plant P&L is strongly preferredExperience in a shelter business preferred Education Four-year college or university degree in Business or related field or equivalent education and/or experience requiredMasters degree in business or related field preferredMust read, write, and speak fluent Spanish and English
