Job Description

Job Summary Improve existing and new processes by introducing lean manufacturing and statistical analysis (Six Sigma) tools, focused on quality, efficiency and absorption. Proposes, Develops and implements cost reduction projects and participates in continuous improvement teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Coordination of Kaizen (Lean-Six Sigma) events at the point of value. • Design of OpEx procedures and programs. • Detection of continuous improvement projects focused on savings. • Costing analysis of current products. • Analysis of Routings (standard route times) of product lines • Gembas coordination and process evaluations. • Management and implementation of continuous improvement tools (VSM, 5's, TPM, Standard Work, Poka Yoke, OEE, etc.) • Effective participation in recognition programs. • Preparation of Time studies and line balancing. • Support and participation in the implementation of improvement projects in other departments. • Preparation of training materials related to OpEx. • Develops process improvement initiatives (flows of materials, personnel, etc.) in production processes. • Monitoring production performance metrics (Efficiency, PPH, Improvement Suggestions, etc.) • Preparation of improvement plans and/or monitoring until conclusion. • Participates in production planning, related to hours paid vs. hours earned. • Development of teamwork with the departments involved. Knowledge and Skills • Knowledge of manufacturing in the medical industry. • Knowledge of Minitab, Visio, MSProject. • Continuous improvement tools (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma). • Knowledge of Project Management. • Knowledge of Leadership and Teamwork. • Ability to organize resources and establish priorities. • Ability to supervise and train personnel. • Ability to assign tasks and responsibilities. • Ability to follow procedures. • Ability to interact, develop and motivate staff. • Ability to follow orders and follow them. •Ability to work in team. • Ability to work under a minimal degree of supervision. Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience • Complete Bachelors degree from a 4 year university - Industrial Engineering or related field • Minimum experience of 3 to 6 years in a similar position in the medical manufacturing industry. • Green Belt certified or Black Belt certified (preferred).
