Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Platform Sourcing Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing project schedules, and providing broad-based sourcing expertise. About the Role Develop comprehensive sourcing strategies to achieve cost targets, goals, and timelines for water heater project objectives. Manage all project sourcing and procurement activities within the product development stage gates for the water heater platforms. Identify total cost opportunities throughout the business to ensure a full project pipeline. Lead the sourcing perspective on should costing initiatives. Collaborate with Research & Development, Advanced Manufacturing, and Plant Operations to provide broad-based sourcing expertise for new part development and qualification. Effectively communicate project status updates to core and cross-functional teams. Manage project schedules as they pertain to sourcing activities and communicate to plant supply chain teams, procurement managers, custom compliance, and cross-functional teams as necessary. Support engineering teardown activities by providing broad-based sourcing expertise and advice. Ensure projects achieve all cost and schedule commitments. Support monthly meetings with Global Platform Sourcing Teams to synergize on key cost improvement ideas. Manage the implementation of sourcing strategies and ensure a smooth hand-off from sourcing to material planning/operations for NPI Projects. Provide regular data analytics that measure material cost performance, obsolescence, and guide business strategy. Complete daily transactional activities as needed in support of assigned product platform. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field of study or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years' experience as a business lead/liaison responsible for coordinating complex issues within and between departments, including alignment with product development and supporting procurement teams. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization. Proven background in project management with building strategic business plans. High degree of proficiency in ERP (Oracle), Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Strong analytic, interpersonal, and coordination skills. 3-5+ years of experience in commodity management in an industry-related field. 3-5+ years of experience in product engineering, quality, or manufacturing environment.
