Job Posting Title Maintenance Plant Manager Job Description Summary Manages the plant maintenance staff, programs, and processes, typically under the direction of the Plant Operations Manager, to ensure safe, timely, and efficient operation of all plant machinery and equipment. Manages the staff, processes, and activities for maintaining all plant machinery to ensure safe, continual, and efficient operation. Ensures that periodic and preventive maintenance are scheduled and accomplished appropriately, with emergency troubleshooting and maintenance support available as needed. Oversees maintenance goal setting, activity scheduling, work performance, and performance management to ensure measurable goals, proper workload distribution, goal satisfaction, and effective staff performance management. Monitors and continually improves maintenance processes and personnel performance to achieve higher efficiency. Job Responsibilities Manages maintenance employee outcomes by selecting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining associates. Communicates job expectations, plans, monitors, and appraises contributions, and recommends compensation actions, adhering to policies and procedures. Leads maintenance operational standards by contributing to strategic plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, customer service, safety, security, and health standards; resolving problems; and identifying system improvements. Evaluates system and equipment performance by consulting with operating departments, identifying problems, and determining requirements. Keeps systems and equipment operational by implementing preventive maintenance, operating, and testing systems and equipment. Ensures repairs by managing restoration, repair, rebuilding, or replacement of faulty components. Improves system and equipment performance by analyzing results and recommending changes, expansions, or additions. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to standards and policies, addressing issues promptly, and alerting others to potential concerns. Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Supports organizational success by addressing new requests and assisting others in achieving results. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Education Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
