Reporting to the Supplier Development Manager you as a Supplier Development Engineer will be responsible to ensure robust material quality through solid material qualification process, Drive and improve supplier performance Quality Incident, Supplier DPPM. Responsibilities Work with and support Procurement’s strategy in establishing supply base that is capable to meet the requirement from various BU across entire company. Early involvement to support the activities that are related to supplier and material. Support supplier and material related changes from category management perspective. Identify worst performed supplier, work with the affected supplier to develop and implement “get-well” plan, until supplier improve the performance. Develop and build good relationship with supplier. Support customer PPAP requestablish robust material qualification process. SDE metrics (NPD Incident Rate, Critical Risk Supplier List, Supplier on-site audits, Category DPPM) Track metric performance. Work with supplier & internal cross-functional teams to drive and implement improvement actions. Support and work with plant SQE in ensuring consistent material quality supply to operations. About You Bachelor or university degree in Engineering. Minimum 5+ years experience in Supplier Quality / Supplier Development. Experience with ISO - IATF and familiar with 5 core tools --FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA. Knowledge on VDA 6.3 auditing. Ability to analyze. Advanced knowledge of MS Office and basic knowledge of SAP. Good follow up skills. Good communication skills both written and oral. Result oriented. Problem solving skills. Attention to details. Green belt training. Black belt (desired). Proficient English - 85% minimum (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
