Key Roles and Responsibilities The Materials Program Manager plays a vital role in ensuring supply availability for vehicle maintenance operations across various service centers. Coordinate material transfers between internal locations, working closely with team members involved as well as within SAP and other business systems. Analyze/review and summarize parts performance for multiple service centers Monitor open repair orders for pending materials and parts needs. Primary Functions The key functions of the Materials Program Manager include: Ensuring supply availability for vehicle maintenance operations across various service centers. Coordinate material transfers between internal locations, working closely with team members involved as well as within SAP and other business systems. Analyze/review and summarize parts performance for multiple service centers Monitor open repair orders for pending materials and parts needs. Identify high usage parts across multiple locations, escalating parts constraints as needed. Brief Overview This is a brief overview of the job description. Other Key Responsibilities In addition to the above responsibilities, the Materials Program Manager will also be responsible for: Process work order and consumption data in SAP and using spreadsheets to build understanding of parts consumption, reorder requirements, and stock availability. Manage delivery schedules in order to ensure materials arrive ahead of required dates. Track shipments and ensure confirmation of receipt in system. Provide SAP support to vehicle maintenance operations team as required for materials management. Retrieve quotes from suppliers & submit purchase orders. Place purchase orders and purchase requisitions as required based on MRP recommendations or ad hoc requests. Communicates & develops process improvements as needed. Mitigate Excess and Obsolescence.
