Join the dream team of Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol as Director of Finance . This expansive property includes 96 guestrooms and 61 Residences, located along the tourist corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo with views of the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean. Amenities include three restaurants, three resort pools, an open-air fitness center, Spa & Spa Garden, and a Clubhouse event facility. Essential Functions Safeguard hotel assets and financial resources to maximize profitability. Provide timely and accurate financial information and counsel to hotel senior management and ensure compliance with local and corporate policies and the Management Agreement. Deliver high-quality financial reporting, internal control compliance, and business management with integrity and accuracy. Open bank accounts in consultation with owners; utilize local rating services for verification of financial strength when available. Ensure proper authorization for cheques and implement positive pay where available. Prepare a comprehensive monthly financial report in established corporate formats in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Advocate Finance Department programs and policies to Planning Committee, Department Heads, and employees. Monitor Accounts Receivable aging and collections to meet company standards. Maintain files on contracts, leases, and agreements; ensure proper authorization and competitive bids when applicable. Ensure compliance with loan covenants and accurate long-term debt balances and supporting documentation. Record interest accruals and ensure accuracy of unpaid balances and related liabilities when applicable. Ensure monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts are prepared and signed off. Review and sign off on all bank reconciliations monthly, addressing reconciling items. Strive for continuous process improvement and efficiency. Monitor, control, and record all hotel sales, purchases, salaries, and expenses; manage labor costs while complying with employment laws. Prepare forecasts and budgets as required; review cash position daily to optimize funds. Disclose and record gains/losses on the sale or disposal of fixed assets. For locations with full balance sheets, ensure accumulated depreciation is accurate. Drive new business opportunities for the hotel. Support, mentor, and develop finance employees. Maintain harmonious relationships with all departments and Home Office. Comply with Four Seasons’ Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact. Maintain relationships with ownership and internal/external auditors; implement recommendations as needed. Handle disciplinary and grievance matters consistently and document actions. Conduct effective department meetings and address action items. Knowledge and Skills Education: University degree or equivalent. Experience: Three to five years in a related position with Four Seasons or another organization. Skills and Abilities: Proven leadership in a hotel/resort environment. Highest level of integrity and transparency. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment. Excellent written and verbal communication for reports, presentations, and meetings. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Ethical approach to influence outcomes. Working knowledge of GAAP and hotel systems; proficient in Microsoft Office. English reading/writing/speaking proficiency; knowledge of hotel operations. Strategic, analytical, and solid business acumen. The transferring employee must have or obtain proper work authorization for the country of location.
