Mexico Location: Juárez, MX Department: Operations Reports To: Vice President of Operations, COO Position Summary The Operational Excellence Leader will champion Lean methodologies and cultural transformation across our manufacturing organization. This role focuses on building a sustainable Lean Management System (LMS), fostering employee engagement, and embedding Lean principles into daily operations to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in coaching, facilitating, and enabling teams to eliminate waste and continuously improve processes. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and sustain a Lean Management System across manufacturing operations. Partner with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to embed Lean principles in daily management and decision-making. Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping workshops, and Gemba walks to identify and eliminate waste. Establish and maintain visual management systems, standard work, and performance boards. Coach leaders and employees on Lean tools and thinking (5S, pull systems, SMED, PDCA, tiered daily meetings). Drive a culture of continuous improvement by empowering employees to solve problems at the source. Support strategic projects focused on throughput, quality, cost, and delivery improvements. Track and communicate progress toward operational excellence goals. Apply Six Sigma tools (root cause analysis, DMAIC, variation reduction) to complement Lean initiatives. Act as a change agent, fostering collaboration and buy-in across the organization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field (advanced degree preferred). 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations and Lean leadership roles. Proven experience in designing and deploying Lean systems. Lean Certification required (Lean Practitioner, Lean Leader, or equivalent). Six Sigma Green Belt preferred. Strong facilitation and coaching skills on the shop floor. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Demonstrated success in building engagement among front-line employees and leaders.
