POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a highly motivated BIM Coordinator to join our self-performing construction team. This is an on-site position working from our office in Monterrey, Mexico, with responsibilities focused on supporting our design-build/design-assist processes and field operations in the San Francisco Bay Area, by managing building information models (BIM) at a high level of detail (up to LOD 400). The BIM Coordinator will ensure accurate coordination, clash detection, and seamless communication across all stakeholders while working from a remote environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage BIM models with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, ensuring constructability and alignment with project requirements. Lead clash detection workflows and resolve conflicts between trades using software such as Navisworks Manage, BIM 360, Revizto, or Solibri. Support coordination meetings with the General Contractor and trade partners, presenting model updates and clash reports (virtually or on occasion in person if required). Maintain constant communication with Project Managers and General Foremen, providing clear updates on design and field coordination. Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for construction purposes. Produce spool sheets, material quantity takeoffs, and shop drawings for cold-formed framing components such as wall studs, headers, clips, and bracing. Utilize Newforma (or similar project information management platforms) to organize documentation, RFIs, and coordination logs. Contribute to design-assist collaboration, helping to align design intent with field constructability. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field Minimum of 2 years' experience as a BIM Coordinator (preferably with a self-performing or general contractor). Proficient in both English and Spanish (oral and written). Software Proficiency: -Autodesk Revit (advanced modeling, up to LOD 400). -AutoCAD (2D/3D drafting and coordination). -Navisworks Manage (clash detection, coordination). -Newforma or equivalent project management software (preferered). -Basic Knowledge of Bluebeam (markups, document review, collaboration). -Knowledge of additional clash detection/coordination platforms such as BIM 360, Revizto, and/or Solibri. -Experience with Procore, ProjectSight, and/or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) preferred. General understanding of cold-formed framing systems and related construction practices. Ability to create and manage Bills of Materials, spool sheets, and shop drawings for prefabrication, takeoffs, other building components. Strong organizational, documentation, and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working directly with project managers, foremen, and external partners. Comfortable with remote work, including use of video conferencing, cloud collaboration platforms, and remote coordination tools.
