OverviewSenior / Manufacturing Engineer On-Site at EMS / JDM (Process / Test) role at Verifone. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing & Test Engineer to support our EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) and JDM (Joint Development Manufacturing) partners. This role aims to optimize manufacturing processes, improve cycle times, and ensure high-quality standards across production and testing activities. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence, with hands-on experience in SMT, wave soldering, box build assembly, and electronic testing, combined with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. ResponsibilitiesManufacturing Process: Collaborate with EMS/JDM partners to optimize manufacturing processes and improve cycle times. Provide daily technical and quality support to EMS/JDM partners. Conduct Quality Process Audits (QPA) to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities. Support rework and conversion activities at the postponement center. Provide Assurance of Shipment (AOS) support on-site at contract manufacturers. Monitor and drive production yield targets. Lead monthly factory capacity planning to meet forecasted demand. Perform PCB Gerber reviews using GC-Prevue or equivalent software. Familiarity with SolidWorks and Pro-E CAD systems is a plus. Manufacturing Test: Evaluate EMS/JDM manufacturing processes to ensure all testing requirements are met. Participate in product integration to support testing of new products. Explore and develop innovative test methodologies. Conduct Design for Test (DFT) reviews to maximize test coverage. Review and improve testing processes and test application software to reduce test time while maintaining quality. Provide training to EMS/JDM partners on product documentation, testing, and manufacturing requirements. Assist factories in debugging and fixing functional test fixtures. Interpret and understand electronic schematics. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing and testing environments. Strong knowledge of SMT, wave soldering, and box build assembly processes. Experience with PCB design review tools (e.g., GC-Prevue). Familiarity with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Pro-E. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus. Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, global environment.
