Our technologies push the boundaries of what’s possible, from the depths of the ocean to the farthest reaches of space.Overview / Scope of Position The Lead, Trade Compliance Process & Training will help define, document and drive standard Trade Compliance processes to support global TC teams. The role involves leading cross‑functional teams to ensure the company’s Trade Compliance operations are effectively documented and optimized for efficiency and compliance, and to develop, operate and enhance Corning’s global trade digitalization strategies as part of the Trade Compliance Center of Excellence.Major ResponsibilitiesLead discussions with Trade Compliance operations teams and other supply chain functions (planning, procurement, manufacturing, and customer).Become a subject‑matter expert in Trade‑related tools and systems.Define, develop and manage Trade Compliance process documentation, including procedures, workflows, guidelines and best practices.Ensure documents are maintained through a regular review and approval process with stakeholders.Assist in planning or providing training programs.Work with the Communications team to align to corporate or department standards.Organize and store process documents in a way that is easily accessible for a global audience.Minimum Knowledge and Skill RequirementsBachelor’s Degree.Minimum five years of experience in Trade Compliance or customs.Strong knowledge in HTS Classification, Country of Origin and Valuation determination.Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel.Strong verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with stakeholders across functions, countries, both internally and externally.Ability to work independently and in team environments.Travel ability of 10‑15 %.Demonstrated time‑management and prioritization skills.Must allocate a minimum 25 % to support US working hours.Proficiency in English (verbal and written) is required.This position does not support immigration sponsorship.Benefits and CompensationCompany‑wide bonuses and long‑term incentives aligned with key business results.Food coupons and a structured savings fund to support long‑term financial goals.Comprehensive medical, dental, life insurance, total permanent disability protection and paid time off.Employee Assistance Program.Recognition program to celebrate successes and reward exceptional contributions.We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.
