JOB SUMMARY The Payroll Coordinator – LATAM is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll across assigned Latin American countries, in compliance with company policies and all relevant local labor, tax, and social security regulations. This role involves maintaining payroll records, preparing and reviewing payroll reports, resolving discrepancies, and responding to employee inquiries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and possesses strong data reporting skills, along with the highest level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Valuates the accuracy of timesheets submitted weekly/biweekly through Tress and 3rd party ADP Timecard reports and contacts supervisors when discrepancies are found. Collect, control, and maintain payroll data in ADP Lyric, ADP Celergo, and Tress, including but not limited to employee personal information, wages, tax exemptions, garnishments, and statutory benefits; ensure secure handling of such data; generate standard and ad hoc reports. Perform advanced data analysis and extrapolation from payroll datasets to identify trends, variances, and potential issues, providing recommendations to management. Oversee reporting and management of worker’s compensation, government-mandated benefits, and jurisdictional requirements for applicable LATAM countries. Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulatory requirements, including tax filings, social security contributions, and statutory reporting for each supported country. Serve as company Administrator for Tress, overseeing system setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Assist supervisors with resolving timesheet errors/discrepancies as needed. Transfer current weeks’ timesheets into payroll batches for processing. Enter payroll adjustments into weekly pay batches that will affect employee gross/net pay. Run payroll pre-processing batches and review for accuracy prior to submission. Support accounting by entering/importing weekly payroll, tax, and retirement journal entries into relevant ERP systems. Complete payroll information/verification sections on external documents for garnishments, support orders, unemployment claims, and other statutory or jurisdictional requests. Prepare and review week-over-week reasonableness checks to validate payroll accuracy. Assist management with compiling documentation for audits, statutory inspections, and reporting requirements. Serve as a point of contact for employees, supervisors, and HR partners regarding payroll and time-off inquiries. Assists employees/supervisors/HR partners with payroll and time off related questions. CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Minimum of three years of combined payroll and human resources experience, preferably in a multi-country LATAM environment. Must have extensive experience with ADP Lyric/Lifion, ADP Celergo, Tress, and/or Replicon, including Time and Attendance, Benefits, and Reporting functionality. Previous experience managing payroll processes across multiple LATAM jurisdictions, including knowledge of statutory calculations and compliance requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish (required). Fluent in Portuguese (preferred). Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and extrapolate large datasets for reporting and decision-making purposes. Demonstrated integrity and professionalism in handling highly sensitive and confidential information. Proficient in MS Word, Excel (advanced functions), and Outlook. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across diverse teams. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
