We are recruiting an experiencedManager of NPI (New Product Introduction) Test Developmentto lead a team responsible for developing, validating, and deploying test solutions that ensure successful transition of new products from design into volume manufacturing. This leader will drive test strategy, methodologies, and infrastructure for cutting-edge optical transceiver products, ensuring high quality, cost-effective, and scalable solutions. Our Team We are responsible for developing, validating, and deploying test solutions to ensure the successful transition of new optical products from design to volume manufacturing. We focus on creating scalable, high-quality, and cost-effective test strategies and infrastructure for cutting-edge optical transceiver products, collaborating closely with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to guarantee seamless product launches and continuous improvement in test methodologies. What You Will Do • Lead and mentor a team of test engineers developing NPI test solutions for new products. • Define long-term test strategy aligned with product roadmap and manufacturing objectives. • Partner with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and product engineering to ensure seamless product launch readiness. • Architect, implement, and validate automated test solutions for prototype and production environments. • Develop scalable test processes and infrastructure to ensure product performance, yield, and reliability. • Drive test coverage analysis, measurement system evaluation, and continuous improvement of test methodologies. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Act as the technical liaison between design engineering, manufacturing, and contract manufacturing partners. • Support DFT (Design for Testability) and influence product design to improve manufacturability and test coverage. • Ensure test transfer to high-volume manufacturing with robust documentation and training. Operational Excellence • Own test development project schedules, resource allocation, and risk management. • Drive root cause analysis of test escapes, yield issues, and equipment challenges. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer quality requirements. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field. 5+ years of experience in test development for hardware/electronic products, including 2+ years in a leadership role. Experienced LabView and Python developer with disciplined use of Gitlab, Gitflow, CI/CD, Pytest, and other best practices for code development and integration. Proven experience with NPI processes, design validation, and manufacturing test transfer. Solid understanding of statistical data analysis, SPC, and Six Sigma methodologies. Knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence, JMP or MATLAB. Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
