GENERAL DESCRIPTION• Develops, implements, and maintains the Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System.• Leads internal and external audits, coordinates action plans, and closes findings.• Ensures compliance with applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental laws.EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION• Industrial or environmental engineering, chemical biology, or related field.• Minimum 6 years of experience working in EHS.• English KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CERTIFICATIONS• Project development, research, leadership, and management.• Knowledge of environmental, health and safety legislation.• Experience handling procedures before government agencies (JMAS, PROFEPA, SEMARNAT, SDUE, CIVIL PROTECTION, SEGOB, etc.)• Internal auditor ISO 45001.• 5 years of experience in HSE Management Systems• Statistical knowledge of lean tools• Ergonomics and safe handling of machinery and equipment.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Lead a team responsible for ensuring the implementation of various programs and activities related to health, safety, and the environment.• Business partner as applicable in different areas and departments of the company.• Generates and promotes strategies aimed at improving indicators to provide a safe environment and reduce the environmental footprint.• Maintain site and corporate metrics and report them according to the needs of the different meetings and departments.• Verifies compliance with and adherence to health, safety, and environmental programs.• Assists inspectors and representatives from the government, SEMARNAT, JMAS, STPS, PROFEPA, SDUE, CIVIL PROTECTION, etc.• Conducts, coordinates, participates in, and ensures compliance with internal and external audits and the completion of corrective actions resulting from them.• Collects, documents, and maintains relevant information from the department's various areas: risk management, waste management (air, soil, water, etc.), audits, corporate reports, etc.• Generates risk assessment and management strategies.• Provides training on Health, Safety, and the Environment, guides teams to ensure timely compliance, and promotes learning among the group under their supervision.• Provides guidance and participates in the implementation and documentation of high-risk procedures and formats, such as contractors, work at height, cutting and welding, LOTO, electricity, confined spaces, etc., including change control.• Participates in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) determined for their role in relation to ISO 9001:2015.
