Job Description

Purpose Statement:   Regional functional expert in the area of procurement, driving operational efficiency and improvement through implementation of agreed purchasing processes and sharing of best practices. Key Job Accountabilities: Perpetual training and maintenance of training material in relation to buyer's core processes and tools, associated with the purchasing of materials in accordance with guidelines set by Plexus management and the customer's contract in terms of AVL adherence, unit price, quality and delivery. Participate in the design and deployment of global & regional processes, offering insight and relaying stakeholder input to the project team. Field questions from procurement teams and support issue resolution within the region. Ensure all new buyers are adequately trained, whether that be directly or through site trainers. Develop and maintain a regional purchasing competency matrix and ensure tactical purchasing metrics support business needs. Collaborate with global stakeholders on the creation and maintenance of SOP's & WI's. Interface with the purchasing team on a regular basis to understand their challenges and provide solutions. Education/Experience Qualifications: Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; Other Qualifications:   Strong analytical skills. Detail oriented. Self-starter with the ability to operate without constant direction. Ability to work in a dynamic environment across various functional business groups. Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills. Strong Google Workspace or MS Office skills with advanced knowledge of Excel. General office equipment and materials. Physical Requirements:   Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.
