Job Description

About the Position: We are seeking a dynamic professional with experience in industrial automation and filtration to join our team at Micronics Inc., a global leader in filtration solutions for the mining industry. The Field Service Engineer must have hands-on experience in filtration technology related to filter presses, as well as proven ability in troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic equipment. The role requires a minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in filtration technology, maintenance, and operation. The main responsibility of this position is to provide on-site technical support for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of filter presses and associated systems. Key Responsibilities • Lead the commissioning and start-up of industrial filter presses at mining sites. • Program and reprogram PLCs (Rockwell, Siemens, Honeywell). • Configure and optimize HMI interfaces, industrial networks, and DCS systems. • Diagnose and troubleshoot failures in control, instrumentation, and automation systems. • Provide technical support for filtration process operations (tailings, concentrates, etc.). • Train operators and plant personnel on equipment operation and maintenance. • Prepare technical reports and collaborate with the commercial team to identify improvement opportunities. Requirements • Degree in Electronic, Mechatronic, or Automation Engineering (experienced technicians will also be considered). • Minimum of 3 years of Technical Service experience, including at least 2 years troubleshooting filter presses. • Minimum of 1 year of experience in hydraulic unit maintenance. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in mining or heavy industrial processes. • Advanced knowledge of PLC programming (Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell). • Proficiency in industrial instrumentation, process control, industrial networks, and supervisory systems (HMI/SCADA). • Experience in commissioning and maintenance of industrial equipment (ideally filter presses or other continuous process systems). • Willingness to travel to mining operations in Peru and across Latin America. • Intermediate technical English (ability to read manuals and basic communication).
