Border Patrol Agent Role Job Description: We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team as Border Patrol Agents. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our borders and protecting the American people. Key Responsibilities: Detect and prevent undocumented noncitizens and smugglers from crossing the border by maintaining surveillance and responding to electronic sensor alarms. Interpret and follow tracks, marks, and other physical evidence to track down and apprehend violators. Perform farm and ranch checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Required Skills and Qualifications: Previous or current law enforcement experience, preferably in immigration or military law enforcement. Specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as developing and utilizing intelligence information, leading investigations, and utilizing complex technology. Overtime pay of up to 25%. Eligibility for a promotion to the next higher grade level after completing 52 weeks in the lower grade level.
