Position Summary: The Plant Manager is responsible for overall leadership, direction, and performance of a DwyerOmega manufacturing site. This role ensures a safe working environment, superior product quality, reliable on-time delivery, cost effectiveness, and high employee engagement. The Plant Manager leads the deployment of the DwyerOmega Business System (DOBS)— driving Lean thinking, daily management, problem-solving rigor, and a culture of accountability, empowerment, adaptability, and speed. The Plant Manager partners closely with cross-functional teams across Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, HR, HSE, Finance, and Commercial to ensure strong execution and alignment with company goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead all aspects of plant safety, health, and environmental compliance; ensure full adherence to HSE policies, regulations, and programs; achieve annual improvements in safety-related KPIs Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership, daily gemba walks, hazard reduction, and incident prevention. Build and manage high-performing quality systems ensuring conformance to drawings, certifications, and customer requirements. Improve DPPM, First Pass Yield (FPY), and Total Cost of Quality (TCOQ). Maintain strong customer-focused execution including responsiveness and effective resolution of complaints. Ensure production schedules, capacity, and staffing are aligned with customer need Deliver sustained improvements in On-Time Shipment (OTS), Past Due $, lead times, and schedule adherence. Drive flow, takt alignment, and Lean operating principles across all relevant plant processes. Meet annual cost, productivity, and efficiency targets through labor utilization, scrap reduction, yield improvement, and material optimization. Manage plant budgets, forecasts, and capital investment planning in partnership with Finance. Oversee inventory accuracy, cycle count performance, and material availability. Develop and lead a strong team of supervisors, engineers, and support staff; ensure proper staffing, coaching, and performance management. Build a culture of engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Represent the plant locally, maintaining positive community and customer relationships. Champion Lean operating system practices including Tiered Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, Visual Management, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen. Drive structured problem solving (A3, 8D, DMAIC) and promote a culture of rapid improvement. Ensure alignment to DwyerOmega’s values: Ingenuity, Empowerment, Accountability, Adaptability, and Speed. Required Skills / Experience / Competencies: Bachelor’s degree required; technical or engineering discipline preferred. Formal training in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies preferred. 8–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations with a demonstrated track record of achieving strong operational results. Experience working in a high-mix production environment strongly preferred. Demonstrated success driving year-over-year cost improvements, quality performance, and team engagement. Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems. Strong Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with ability to lead cross-functional teams. Ability to make sound decisions quickly, independently, and in a fast paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to motivate, coach and develop talent at all levels. Skilled in budgeting, financial acumen, and P&L performance levers Highly organized, dependable, and ethical with strong follow-through and accountability Physical/Mental Essential Functions: Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, frequent movement across manufacturing floor.
