Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Manager Leading the Way in Manufacturing Excellence The Manufacturing Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the company's strategic objectives, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This individual is responsible for leading the Manufacturing Engineering team to provide direct support to manufacturing on all products, new and legacy. This leader will oversee the development of manufacturing processes, standard work, and lean principles to improve output, reduce defects, and enhance product quality and reliability. They will also be responsible for benchmarking best practices, introducing new and enhanced processes, and implementing improvements that reduce cycle time and cost. In this key position, you will have functional ownership of item routings, work instructions, and process flow documentation. You will also play a vital role in supporting new product development, driving design for manufacturability and assembly objectives. To succeed in this role, you must have excellent leadership and development skills, with the ability to effectively lead indirect reporting individuals. A strong understanding of Lean/CI principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and project management skills are essential. Additionally, you should have experience with SolidWorks, BI, and ERP systems. Key Responsibilities: Manage all manufacturing engineering functions to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. Develop and implement lean principles to improve manufacturing processes and standard work. Benchmark best practices and introduce new processes to improve quality, reduce cycle time, and reduce cost. Functional ownership of item routings, work instructions, and process flow documentation. Support new product development, driving design for manufacturability and assembly objectives. Lead indirect reporting individuals and develop their technical and professional competencies. Qualifications: B.S. Degree in Engineering or Technical Management. 7-10 years minimum total experience in progressively responsible manufacturing engineering, operations, and technical management positions. 3 years minimum of people leadership experience leading a technical team. Demonstrated experience in manual and automated assembly processes for electronic and mechanical products. Demonstrated experience in utilizing Lean and Six Sigma tool sets. SolidWorks experience. BI and ERP experience. Proven project management skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment. Ability to develop and motivate a technical team in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment.
