Lead Account Executive - New Sales – Global Payments Inc. About the role The Lead Account Executive specializes in acquiring new customers and growing existing ones within a managed territory. You will leverage a deep understanding of the payments marketplace and our comprehensive suite of solutions to develop, present, and close sales. Your responsibilities include building executive relationships, managing referrals, ensuring timely delivery of commercial processes, and acting as the main point of contact for both new and existing clients. Responsibilities Prospect new clients and establish productive relationships with key personnel in merchant accounts and partner organizations. Drive partner referrals and manage them with agility. Respond promptly to customer requests regarding rates, fees, contracts, and processing solutions. Follow up negotiations and coordinate with internal teams to maintain service quality. Continuously learn about the competitive landscape and help shape marketing initiatives. Represent EVO’s values with the highest ethical and quality standards. Analyze account, billing, and transaction data to define acquisition strategies. Maintain accurate customer information in provided technology tools (CRM, performance indicators). Proactively call and visit prospects to identify solutions that meet objectives. Monitor and accelerate negotiations, escalating issues to appropriate supervisors when needed. Track KPIs (volume, revenue, SLAs) and develop improvement actions. Handle multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines. Ensure merchants comply with PCI, KYC, AML regulations and obtain necessary documents. Assess merchant needs and recommend appropriate Evo solutions. Participate in ongoing training to provide excellent customer advice. Monitor implementation projects, ensuring strict adherence to quality, time, and service expectations. Demonstrate reliability and professionalism in all interactions. Provide solutions that meet customer needs, maintain a respectful and respectful tone. Show strong understanding of merchant services pricing. Be available after‑hours as required. Manage a diverse portfolio of client accounts. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree. Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills; willingness to learn and grow in sales. Strong verbal communication, active listening, and analytical skills. Skilled at probing customer issues and problem‑solving. Highly organized with diligent follow‑up. Intermediate computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Availability for face‑to‑face meetings or travel. Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and capable of independent work. Ability to communicate professionally with C‑Level executives. Excellent written communication and time‑management skills. Ability to meet or exceed quotas. Preferred 1‑2 years of experience in service and sales environments. Experience with payment processing or other financial services. Experience with CRM/Salesforce and a willingness to learn. Intermediate‑Advanced English proficiency.
