Job Description

Primary Functions: The Financial Controller of Mexico will oversee the financial integrity, compliance to laws and regulations, internal controls, external audit, and operations supports. Financial Controller duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring outgoing payments, and improving the policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support business growth of the company from a financial control perspective Ensure financial reporting and practices are in line with statutory law and corporate control procedures Adherence to US GAAP and local statutory accounting standards, delegated authority matrix and various policies and assess control risk as necessary Provide expert analysis and evaluations on financial, accounting, planning & forecasting and cost in order to improve the results of the organization Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of the tax returns through proper supervision and review Maintain effective internal control system and liaise with external and internal auditors on improvement of internal control procedures Perform local treasury - cash management and forecasting. Ensure the consistency of financial processes and procedures, and continuously optimizes to gain efficiency. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION At least 15 years of working experience in Finance with a minimum of 5 years' experience managing a team Fluent in Spanish and English Fluent in Chinese is a plus, but not required University graduate or above in accounting or finance related discipline, a CPC/CPA/CMA/ACCA or equivalent qualification is a must. Experienced and energetic finance professional with a passion to make a difference Has a strong business, analytical, operational and leadership mind-set A true team player with very good communication and people skills Able to establish relationships and work cooperatively across boundaries and the matrix to achieve results. Ability to effectively navigate and influence senior management and partner organizations. Develop self, peers and direct reports. Builds and invests in a diverse, high-performing team. Able to collaborate and communicate effectively within cross-functional teams and resolve complex problems positively. Deep understanding of local business laws, policies, and regulations. Strong sense of control and compliance.
