We are seeking an experienced and proactive intellectual property specialist to lead enforcement efforts in Mexico. This role is remote-first, with a potential transition to a physical office in 4–6 months. You'll work closely with global legal and business teams, directly protecting the rights of some of the world's most recognized brands. The position focuses on hands-on IP enforcement: drafting and sending claims, managing pre-litigation negotiations, representing clients in civil litigation, and recovering monetary compensation from infringers. Key responsibilities include: Identify and monitor IP infringements in Mexico; Draft and send cease-and-desist letters, legal claims, and negotiate settlements; Represent rights holders in pre-litigation and civil litigation proceedings; Initiate and manage enforcement actions with local authorities (e.g., customs, police, regulatory bodies); Draft and file powers of attorney, affidavits, and litigation documents; Build working relationships with local enforcement bodies, courts, and service providers; Recover monetary compensation through settlements or court decisions; Support the company's legal and business operations in Mexico (contracts, office setup, compliance, banking, etc.). To be successful, you'll need: A degree in Law; Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on IP (in-house or law firm) experience; A proven track record in IP enforcement, civil litigation, or anti-counterfeiting cases; Fluent in Spanish and English; Strong legal drafting, communication, and negotiation skills; Self-driven, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a global team.
