Job Description

Coordinating domestic and international shipments requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail. In this role, you will ensure timely, compliant, and cost-efficient delivery of goods while managing communication between carriers, warehouses, and internal teams. The Transportation Coordinator plays a crucial part in our logistics network by analyzing transportation data and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Accurate documentation, carrier performance tracking, and adherence to company and regulatory standards are essential for maintaining operational excellence. Main Responsibilities: Coordinate export, import, and local shipments, including carrier communication, pickups, and deliveries Track international and domestic freight in collaboration with the U.S. logistics team Monitor GPS systems and delivery schedules to ensure on-time performance Manage and control return boxes due to customer complaints or damages Oversee container inventory within the plant and ensure proper allocation Request and review transportation quotes for new routes and cost optimization Prepare and maintain freight and performance reports/metrics Review carrier invoices and resolve billing discrepancies Coordinate internal material movements within the plant Collect and verify Proofs of Delivery (PODs) Track and follow up on claims with carriers Maintain and update truck logs for inbound and outbound shipments Keep shipment lists current, monitoring crossing and delivery times Manage and control seal purchases and inventory Generate loading orders and prepare required shipping documentation Deliver export documentation to relevant parties Create Bills of Lading (BOL) and Arrival Notices Issue shipment approval prior to unit departures Confirm FDA releases for deliveries to carriers Develop manual return guides for reverse logistics operations Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or related field 3+ year(s) of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (data analysis and reporting) Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines Knowledge of logistics documentation (BOL, POD, CTPAT, customs paperwork) Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience using SAP or other transportation management systems Experience with data visualization tool (i.e.: PowerBi, Tableau, Access) Familiarity with import/export regulations, CTPAT requirements, and FDA clearance processes Understanding of carrier performance management and cost control Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) We Value Diversity and Inclusion: We celebrate diversity and provide equal opportunities to all, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic that makes us unique.
